A STUDY ON THE DIETARY LIFE OF COLLEGE WOMEN

Abstract
Surveying dietary life (food habit) for 50 college students during June 1-July 5, 1980 and carrying
out the physical examination for them during Sept. 10-20, 1980 the result was summarized as follows; 1. Food intake of examinees showed unbalanced diet between each base food.
2. Food was taken by examinees more with the order of Group i (meat, fish, bean, spawn) Group
II (vegetables, fruit) Group III (cereals, potato) among the different age groups without any big
difference, however, difference was shown in Group N (milk, bone, fish).
3. An average physique of the examinees showed below than over all Korean and Japanese college
women.
4. Observing physique of examinees in relation to weight, height and chest girth the close correlation was found between each component.
5. Base foods in between Group I and II , I and Id, and III , and II and IV showed close relation with significance.
S. Relationship between base foods and physique showed less significance.
77. Taking more carbohydrate through diet, examinees showed lower P. Cal and protein, ion and calcium and in contrarily sufficient vitamin.
